In the coastal city of Kristiansand, Norway, a group of passionate volunteers known as Marin Recovery is doing something extraordinary. With gloves on and garbage bags in hand, they are reclaiming nature one piece of plastic at a time.
Their mission? To clean the 15-kilometer shoreline from Korsvik to Tømmerstø, ridding it of plastic waste both big and small. From bottle caps and bags to tires and abandoned buckets, nothing is too trivial or too heavy for this team. The work is hard, but the reward is immense: a cleaner ocean, a safer habitat for marine life, and a reminder that people still care deeply about our planet.

What makes Marin Recovery unique is not just their impact but their spirit. This is not a paid job it’s a labor of love. Every item collected is a step closer to their dream: paddling through the majestic Femund waterway with canoes, tents, and the satisfaction of knowing they’ve made a difference.
We need more Marin Recoveries around the world. Community-led cleanups like this not only fight pollution but build stronger bonds between people and nature. At We Save The
World, we celebrate these everyday heroes and call on others to rise and protect our only home.
Let’s clean, let’s care, and let’s keep our world beautiful.
